Crystal Palace reportedly targeted a move for Eintracht Frankfurt midfielder Djibril Sow on the final day of the transfer window.
The Eagles looked into a deal for the Bundesliga man on deadline day but a move couldn’t be sorted.
Sow, 25, has been with his current club since 2019.

Crystal Palace’s window
It ended up being a quiet summer for Crystal Palace but the main thing for them was the fact they kept hold of Wilfried Zaha.
They didn’t rush into any deals and carefully chose the right players for their squad with the likes of Cheick Doucoure, Sam Johnstone, Caleb Richards and Malcolm Ebiowei coming through the entrance door.
Sow would have been a useful addition if he had been the final arrival last week and would have provided more options and depth in midfield.

He has played 120 times for them so far, chipping in with five goals and 13 assists, having previously played for the likes of FC Zurich, Borussia Mönchengladbach and Young Boys.
The Switzerland international is under contract at Deutsche Bank Park until June 2024.
