Crystal Palace loan man Albert Sambi Lokonga is expected to move on from parent club Arsenal this summer on a permanent basis. The midfielder was given the green light to head out the exit door on loan in the January transfer window to get some more game time under his belt.

The Eagles won the race for his signature and he is due to return to the Emirates Stadium at the end of the season. According to a report by The Times, the Gunners are likely to cash in on him when he is back.

Crystal Palace landed the 23-year-old to provide more competition and depth to their midfield department. He has since made four league appearances for the South London outfit and will be eyeing plenty more between now and the end of the campaign as Patrick Viera’s side look to avoid getting dragged into any potential relegation trouble.

Lokonga, who is a Belgium international with one cap to his name so far, joined Arsenal from Anderlecht in 2021. He has since played 39 times for the Gunners in all competitions but has seen his opportunities dry up there recently.

Mikel Arteta’s side may let him leave for good in the near future. Time will tell whether Crystal Palace will be in the frame to land him.
