Crystal Palace boss Patrick Vieira has confirmed his team will be missing some key players ahead of their game against Chelsea in the Premier League.

The Eagles will be looking forward to seeing Conor Gallagher who scored eight goals for them last season and made such a significant impression.

Chelsea have a new manager in Graham Potter who has had to wait for a while before he can take charge of his first Premier League game.

For Palace it’s been an encouraging start to the season that has seen them pick up points at Anfield and St James’ Park already.

They also beat Aston Villa and looked like they were finding their form before the passing of the Queen and the international break halted their rhythm.

Ahead of the game against Chelsea manager Patrick Vieira confirmed all his players had returned from international break well even though he still had outstanding concerns to deal with.

He told reporters ahead of the game on Saturday: “They all came back in good shape. But we still have players such as Nathan Ferguson, Macca and Jack Butland who are still out.”

Change of system to face Chelsea

The Eagles have one of the most in-form players in Wilfried Zaha who seems to be going from strength to strength in the Premier League at the moment.

He has four goals in five, same as Arsenal’s Gabriel Jesus and he could be tasked with playing at the top to help his side contain Graham Potter’s men.

The tactical flexibility of some of the players at the disposal of the Palace boss makes for an intriguing game with a predicted 3-5-2 for the Eagles.

Selhurst has not had Premier League football for while the atmosphere is expected to be charged in one of the anticipated London derbies of all time.
