Crystal Palace manager Roy Hodgson will leave Selhurst Park this summer after recent speculation over his future at the South London club.

The 76-year-old, who has been under pressure after a run of disappointing results at Selhurst Park, had hit back at the idea that he could be replaced by former Nottingham Forest boss Steve Cooper. Hodgson branded those rumours as 'disrespectful' as he reaffirmed his commitment to the club.

The former England manager had previously said that he would be 'finished' at Crystal Palace after a 'good season' having signed a one-year contract extension at the club last summer. With results not going his way but determination remaining undeterred, Football Insider reports that while Hodgson won't be leaving anytime soon, it is still '100%' that he will part ways with the Premier League outfit this summer.

The Eagles ended a run of eight fixtures without a win against Brentford on December 30 as a Michael Olise brace and Eberechi Eze goal piled pressure on the out-of-sorts Bees. Speaking after the match and confronting rumours of Crystal Palace's interest in the services of Steve Cooper, Hodgson said: “I’m 76 years of age. I’ve been working 47 years, I’ve got a CBE for my services and I’ve got a CV which is incredible, so my final answer to you is that makes no difference or has any interest to me at all, and to suggest that it should is disrespectful.”

Cooper, who parted ways with Nottingham Forest shortly before Christmas, is still available for work as Nuno Espirito Santo took over his role. However, Steve Parish and his partners are also rumoured to be highly interested in the services of Ipswich Town manager Kieran McKenna.

The Northern Irishman is currently impressing with the Tractor Boys and vying for promotion to the Premier League. Earlier this week, The Sun reported that rivals Crystal Palace and Brighton could be in a 'tug of war' for his services. The Seagulls are only believed to be looking at McKenna as a go-to should manager Roberto De Zerbi be tempted by offers elsewhere while Palace are hoping to find a long-term replacement for Roy Hodgson this summer.

McKenna, who has turned heads in the Championship, may have his own route to the top flight if his Ipswich Town hold their spot in the automatic promotion places. However, should the club not make the leap up the divisions, the manager could be tempted by offers from Premier League sides.
