Chelsea were forced to leave out summer signing Kalidou Koulibaly for their Premier League game against Manchester United on Saturday evening.

Graham Potter, who was looking forward to using the former Napoli defender, had to shuffle the pack after Koulibaly picked up a knee injury ahead of the game at Stamford Bridge.

Marc Cucurella was drafted in to play with Ben Chiwell, as the English manager opted for a five at the back with Cucurella the left centre-half. That would change soon as Manchester United dominated the game in the first, half forcing Graham Potter into making a change and reverting to a back four to wrestle back the game.

Chelsea improved from there and nearly took all three points after Jorginho scored a late penalty in the game after Armnado Broja was brought down. Manchester United threw the kitchen sink at Chelsea and former Real Madrid midfielder Casemiro grabbed the equalising goal deep into extra-time.

Chelsea are still unbeaten under Graham potter after eight games in all competitions and even though they will feel they should have held on for all three points, Manchester United deserved something from the game.

Growing list if injuries

Chelsea manager Graham Potter will hope that the injury to Koulibaly is nothing serious as they already have Reece James who is out for at least two months and now is in a race against time to make it for the World Cup.

They also have Wesley Fofana, signed for a massive amount of money from Leicester still out with no return in sight. Chelsea still have six games in just over three weeks before the international break for the World Cup, and Potter could don with having players back.
