Why Enzo Fernandez was left out of Chelsea's team that is playing Bournemouth in the Premier League

Chelsea are taking on Bournemouth desperate for a win but are without one of their key players.

Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernandez returned from international duty feeling unwell and has not made the trip to Bournemouth, LondonWorld has been informed. The Argentinian midfielder has been the stand-in captain in the absence of Reece James and his deputy Ben Chilwell.

The illness that has kept him out now means fellow midfielder Moises Caicedo will captain Chelsea as they search for their second win of the season. There are a few changes in the Chelsea team, with Renato Veiga brought in to play at left-back and Axel Disasi starting his first league game.

There is also a return for Romeo Lavia, who is on the bench after missing the last three games due to a muscle injury. Another surprise is the exclusion of Christopher Nkunku, who has been left on the bench despite not going on international duty. Nkunku has struggled to break into the team, despite being Chelsea's top scorer in pre-season for the second season running.

There is a change in formation, with Chelsea playing three central defenders and two wing-backs, at least on paper, though this could change once the game kicks off.

In-form forwards Noni Madueke, Cole Palmer, and Nicolas Jackson are all in the starting lineup. Neto is also expected to play as a wing-back, making this an interesting tactical approach for another away game.

Chelsea have not kept a clean sheet in their last 20 away games, but they did win at Molineux, and they could secure back-to-back away wins for the first time in a while if they manage to get all three points today.

If the starting lineup cannot get the goals, Joao Felix and Jadon Sancho are still on the bench, ready to come on and potentially change the game.
