Enzo Maresca's warning to Jadon Sancho ahead of Chelsea debut after Manchester United exit

Chelsea's manager has maintained that every player will be selected based on their performance on the training ground, including Jadon Sancho, who swapped Old Trafford for Stamford Bridge.
Sancho managed to score only 12 goals and provide six assists for Manchester United after they spent £71 million on him in 2021. He had successful spells at Borussia Dortmund, where he helped them reach the Champions League, and he’s done enough to convince Chelsea to splash the cash and bring him to West London.

He told LondonWorld ahead of the game against Bournemouth: "Before they joined the club, I had a chat with them, and one of my messages was, if you come here and don’t work properly, then you are not going to play. Before they arrived, the message was clear. For Jadon. For Joao. But the reason why I’m speaking to you is because I really like you. If you come here in the way that we want, we are happy."
Chelsea travel to the Vitality Stadium having failed to keep a clean sheet in their last 20 away games. They face a Bournemouth side that has had a strong start to the season.
Maresca's side, however, will be looking to make their own history, as a win away from home would mark the first time in almost a year that they have won four consecutive away matches. Their best performance this season came when they travelled to Molineux and beat Wolves in the second game of the campaign.
The Blues are set to welcome back Romeo Lavia, who has missed the last few games due to a muscle injury.
