Trevoh Chalobah in no rush to decide his Chelsea future after U.S pre-season snub
Chelsea defender Trevoh Chalobah is disappointed that he was left out of the Chelsea squad for the club’s pre-season trip to the USA but will not rush to make a decision on his future, LondonWorld has been exclusively told.
The English defender recovered from a knee injury to force his way back into the Chelsea team at the tail end of the last campaign. His fine form helped revitalise a Blues side that was 10th in the league table, ultimately finishing sixth, and were only denied Europa League football by Manchester United’s surprise FA Cup win over Manchester City.

LondonWorld sources say that Chelsea will entertain bids of around £30 million for the 25-year-old.
LondonWorld has also been told that Chalobah is aware of interest from other Premier League clubs and abroad, but he’s in no hurry given he signed a six-year deal just two seasons ago. He will continue to work at Cobham before deciding his next move. The defender is also taking a similar approach when deciding his international future. Sources in Sierra Leone have told LondonWorld that the door is open for him if he wants to play for The Leone Stars.
Born in Freetown, he has yet to play for the West African country, even though he has played across all youth levels for England. In 2021, when Sierra Leone qualified for their first AFCON in 25 years, he admitted he was delighted for the country of his birth. The Chelsea defender said back then: “Obviously, yes, that is my country and I am really pleased. They have done well to qualify, but my focus right now is on the club."
It remains to be seen what decision Chalobah will take, especially given that he was one of the most in-form English defenders at the end of last season and was still not in consideration for Gareth Southgate’s team in Germany.
