The ruthless side of new Chelsea owners Todd Boehly and Behdad Eghbali that Abramovich would be proud of

Normally a manager is expected to be sacked when he loses five games on the spin but Chelsea have sacked a manager who has won his last five games and led them back to playing European football.

Thomas Tuchel, Graham Potter and now Pochettino were all long-term projects but the American ownership have pulled the plugs and if you add temporary managers like Bruno Salto and Frank Lampard that makes five managers under two years, not even the ruthless Roman Abramovich had such devastating numbers in a short period.
The decision to part ways with Pochettino has surprised many especially as it came at a time when the team looked to have finally peaked and the individual players were just beginning to find their rhythm under the Argentinian manager.
A club statement read: "Chelsea FC can confirm that the club and Mauricio Pochettino have mutually agreed to part ways.
The club's sporting directors Laurence Stewart and Paul Winstanley said: "On behalf of everyone at Chelsea, we would like to express our gratitude to Mauricio for his service this season.”
