Former Chelsea star Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang landed a swipe at the club weeks after joining Marseille on a free transfer.

The Gabon star endured a turbulent time at Stamford Bridge last season after signing from Barcelona scoring just three times across 23 underwhelming appearances as the side struggled as a whole.

Aubameyang has hit the ground running in the south of France since joining at the end of July with two goals in four appearances seeing him closer to the form of his prolific Arsenal and Borussia Dortmund days.

More players have left Stamford Bridge since Aubameyang, the latest being midfielder Haki Ziyech who joined Galatasaray on a season-long loan with an option to buy on Saturday.

As Ziyech shared news of his move on social media, stars from the sport flocked to send him well wishes. Kepa Arrizabalaga, Reece James, Tammy Abraham, Jurrien Timber and Trevor Chalobah all shared messages of support and good luck for the midfielder.

Aubameyang also wanted to send his best but went a step further than those players by sharing Ziyech's post on his story. He added the caption: "All my best bro. Free Hakim."

The forward's reference to 'free Hakim' is no doubt a nod to Ziyech struggling for game time at Chelsea despite the club forking out £34 million for his services in 2020 and his World Cup 2022 heroics for Morocco.

The 30-year-old had been due to get his break with a move to Paris Saint-Germain in January, but that fell at the last hurdle with Chelsea not able to get his paperwork completed in time on deadline day. There had also been interest from Al Nassr in Saudi Arabia but the club backtracked over medical issues.

Announcing his move to Galtassaray, Chelsea said: "The 30-year-old joined the Blues from Ajax in the summer of 2020 and has provided several memorable moments at Stamford Bridge in addition to helping the side win the Champions League, UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup during his time in London.

"In total, Ziyech has made 107 appearances for the Blues and scored 14 goals, one of which came in the Super Cup against Villarreal in Belfast at the start of the 2021/22 campaign.

"We wish Hakim well for his season ahead in Turkey."
