Chelsea are already being linked with a number of transfers as they prepare to have their ban lifted.

The Blues have been unable to hand out new contracts or agree transfers over recent months due to owner Roman Abramovich’s government sanctions.

But the end is nigh, and the Blues are set for new owners in the form of Todd Boehly and his partners, who have now been approved by the government to push ahead with their £4.25billion takeover.

Chelsea will soon be able to press ahead with transfers, much to Thomas Tuchel’s relief, and they do have some holes to fill.

Antonio Rudiger and Cesar Azpilicueta could well leave the club amid expiring contracts, and Chelsea were already way off the pace set by Manchester City and Liverpool at the top this season.

The rumours suggest there could be plenty of transfers, though, and the Blues should have the money to pull them off given the wealth of their new owners.

Here we look at the players Chelsea are high in the odds to sign before September 3, with SkyBet.

Ivan Perisic - 4/1

Chelsea are the second favourites to land Inter Milan veteran Perisic, behind Tottenham.

The 33-year-old is available on a free transfer this summer, and he is already talking to clubs outside Italy.

The Blues’ problem is that they will have to wait until their takeover is complete to agree a deal.

Ousmane Dembélé - 5/2

Barcelona star Ousmane Dembélé is still dominating headlines in Spain, with his contract set to expire in just over a month.

The winger arrived from Borussia Dortmund for more than £100million back in 2017 and he has largely disappointed, struggling with injuries.

But he has impressed under Xavi Hernandez, and Barca have made a number of contract offers.

The winger feels he is worth more than what is being offered and is holding out with his contract set to expire in the near future.

Chelsea are second favourites for this one, behind PSG.

Declan Rice - 5/1

Chelsea continue to be linked with their former youth player Declan Rice, who has become a sensation with West Ham and England.

Manchester United are favourites for this one, at 3/1, and it will take £100million, or perhaps even more, to land the midfielder this summer.

Eden Hazard - 5/1

It has been a torrid time for Eden Hazard at Real Madrid, and the Belgian is always being linked with a return to West London, where he played his best football.

Chelsea could probably get him back on the cheap this summer, but based on Hazard’s performances in recent years, the move would be a real risk.

Nevertheless, the Blues are favourites, ahead of Newcastle.

Milan Skriniar - 6/1

Chelsea may need to sign a centre-back this summer, with Rudiger looking like he could leave.

The odds suggest they could take a look at Inter centre-back Skriniar, who faces an uncertain future at San Siro.

Skriniar is out of contract in 2023, and he could be sold this summer if a new contract can’t be agreed.

Chelsea may well be monitoring the 27-year-old’s situation, but they are third favourites, behind Tottenham and United.
