Romelu Lukaku and Hakim Ziyech have been training separately from the first team while Lewis Hall is looking to leave despite siging a long-term contract just weeks ago.

The club’s former record signing Lukaku as well as Hakim Ziyech and Callum Hudson Odoi were left out of the team’s pre-season tour of the United States as they searched for new clubs.

They were also subsequently omitted from having jersey numbers, strongly signalling they would not have a role to play in the team this season.

But with just two weeks to the end of the transfer window, not a lot has been heard of Lukaku’s exit with Inter Milan withdrawing their interest while Juventus have to sell before they can afford him.

Chelsea boss Pochettino has been big on the need to close the squad and have everyone moving in the same direction and admitted there is really little movement at the minute with those players. He said when asked about the current state of exiting players: “Nothing has changed at the moment.

The moment where something happens, we will inform you. But at the moment nothing has changed. Maybe it can happen in one or two hours, or in one or two days. But at the moment, nothing to inform.”

There had been reports that Lewis Hall could be on his way to Crystal Palace on loan after signing a six-year deal, instead, he is now heading to Newcastle after talks broke down with the Eagles board. Hakim Ziyech has also been linked with a move to Galatasaray while Callum Hudson Odoi who is training with the under-21 team is linked to Fulham.
