Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino has confirmed Armando Broja has been ruled out of their game against Arsenal this weekend but hinted Malo Gusto could start.

Broja who started and scored in the game against Fulham was sent home early from international duty and looks to have suffered a setback as he battled to get back from the knee injury that has kept him out for a while.

The Chelsea boss said: "I think we need to assess now because we finished the training session late. We need to assess Axel Disasi, assess Nico Jackson, we need to assess also Reece. Broja is out because rotation problem in his knee but it is another knee, not the one that was the problem from the past.

"We have a few players that we need to assess to see if they're available, if they can play, if they're on the bench or if they're off the list completely. Benoit can maybe be available also."

On Malo Gusto start to life and possible start tomorrow the Chelsea boss said: "You ask me about a player that in the last month didn't play because he was sent off and played with the national team in France. He's really young but a great talent, maybe tomorrow has the possibility to play.

"I think it's difficult to judge because 19 years old, came from a different league in France and he needs to adapt to a new club like Chelsea whose history is about winning.

"A project with very young players, with these circumstances always is tough. I am so happy because we really believe in him, for sure he needs time but I think he is going to perform in a way we really believe.

" He is only 19 years old but I am so happy - I was not happy when he got sent off, I think wasn't red card, when after you see the decision of VAR, I think it's crazy. He is going to be good for the club for sure"
