Chelsea go into the last game of the season looking for their fifth straight win to end a challenging but promisning season.

Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino has hinted Christopher Nkunku could start his first game of the year after enjoying 60 minutes at the Amex and adding to his goal tally. The French striker has had four different injuries and missed 39 games.

When he arrived at the club last summer he was expected to be the force that led the Chelsea line and despite the injuries, he’s had three goals and underlined his strength with a clinical finish against Brighton this week

Before that also he was bright when he was introduced against Nottingham Forest and with Mykhailo Mudryk injured and ruled out of the game, Pochettino says there is a good chance that he could start even though he needs to check.

Pochettino said when asked about the French striker’s availability: "Tomorrow, we are going to assess if he can start. 90 minutes is difficult. We won't take risks. We will take the best decision for him, then the team."

Chelsea have lost only one league game this year, they could possibly finish finish sixth despite being the team with the most injuries this season. They also reached the final of the League Cup and the semi-final of the FA Cup with the hope being they could go on and improve next season.

The game this weekend is Thiago Silva’s last game for the club having confirmed he will be leaving. He won the Champions League and UEFA Super Cup in what has been an incredibly successful four years in west London.
