Liverpool star Alexis Mac Allister has hinted the injury he sustained against Crystal Palace is not serious after insisting ‘nothing will stop’ him from heading off on international duty with Argentina and in turn making him available for key clashes with Chelsea and Arsenal.
The World Cup winner has become a key player for the Reds, who sit top of the Premier League after Saturday’s 1-0 win over the Eagles at Selhurst Park. Mac Allister went off at half time in the contest while goalkeeper Alisson Becker was also forced off injured as he clutched his hamstring after clearing the ball in the second half.

The Gunners are just a point adrift of Slot’s side after seven games while the Blues are four points back.
Providing an update on Alisson, Slot said: "The fixtures are difficult, but I have felt how difficult Wolves and Palace are away. It is good that we have won these games and it is up to us to show ourselves in the big games. Unfortunately Alisson will not be with us in these matches with how he walked off the pitch."
On Mac Allister, he added: "He went off because of an injury, but how bad it is is difficult for me to judge in this moment. He could have continued playing, like you saw, because it didn't happen one second before half-time, but he felt it a bit too much and he said he didn't think it was good to keep on playing because you never know if you will make it worse.
"Now, what is the exact situation, can he go to Argentina? Can he play over there? That is difficult for me to tell you now. [It's an issue] in his groin area."

I felt a slight discomfort during the game, but nothing that will stop me. Now fully focused on what’s ahead.”
Argentina face Venezuela on Thursday night before hosting Bolivia in the early hours of Wednesday morning on October 16. The extent of Mac Allister’s injury is not yet clear and he could still miss the latest international fixtures but the Reds would hope to have him back for their key fixtures the rest of this month. Liverpool host Enzo Maresca’s Chelsea side on Sunday, October 20 at 4.30pm before heading to the Emirates Stadium a week later with that contest also a 4.30pm Sunday kick off.
Arsenal came from behind over the weekend to beat Fulham 3-1 on home soil but Chelsea dropped points as they were held to a 1-1 draw against 10-man Nottingham Forest at Stamford Bridge.
