Tottenham player ratings vs Brighton: '7/10 'destroyer' & 'disappointing' 4/10 in 3-2 defeat
and on Freeview 262 or Freely 565
Tottenham dramatically threw away a two-goal lead to lose 3-2 to Brighton in the Premier League. James Maddison and the in-form Brennan Johnson gave Ange Postecoglou the lead, but a rapid second-half response saw Yankuba Minteh, Georginio Rutter and Danny Welbeck secure all three points for the Seagulls.
Below is how we rated the Tottenham players at the Amex:
Guglielmo Vicario - 5
Conceded two goals that would upset him. Made a brilliant save towards the end to keep his side in the game.
Destiny Udogie - 5

Micky van de Ven - 5
Not directly at fault for any of the goals conceded, but he would be disappointed to be part of a unit that just could not keep a clean sheet.
Cristian Romero - 5
It's fair to say he’s gone off the boil lately. Missed Welbeck for the goal that gave Brighton the lead.
James Maddison - 6
Scored a good goal and then had his head in his hands after they conceded the third goal. He would have been disappointed with his teammates.
Rodrigo Bentancur - 5

Hide AdTottenham needed him to calm down the play and recycle the ball when Brighton took over the game, but he just didn’t have the legs for that.
Dejan Kulusevski - 8
The only creative force who looked really bright and always wanted to take the game to the Seagulls. Tottenham needed more players to be like him and be the destroyers of Brighton.
Brennan Johnson - 7
Scored for the sixth consecutive game, even if he didn't look that dangerous in the second half.
Dominic Solanke - 5
Hard-working but had a quiet second half of the game.
Timo Werner - 4
Just doesn't look like he will score a goal anytime soon. Always chose the easy option and played it safe whenever he could. Really disappointing outing
