Inter Milan are reportedly open to allowing Andre Onana to depart this summer just days after Chelsea were linked with a move for the Nigeria goalkeeper.

Just under a year has passed since Onana joined the Serie A giants on a free transfer from Ajax and he bgan the season acting as backup to Sami Handanovic before replacing the long-serving stopper in the early months of the campaign. Onana has kept his place in the Inter lineup throughout the season and has gone on to make 36 appearances in all competitions, playing a lead role in helping his side reach the semi-final of the Champions League.

However, Italian outlet TuttoSport have claimed Chelsea have shown an interest in Onana and revealed Inter would be open to selling the keeper if an offer of around £50m was to arrive from the Stamford Bridge hierachy. A source for the outlet has stated the Blues are ‘closely monitoring’ Onana, who is said to be one of their ‘main targets’ for the summer transfer window.

Intriguingly, the report also revealed Inter have already identified a replacement for Onana and will make a move for Empoli stopper Guglielmo Vicario if the Nigerian international is to leave. The 26-year-old has kept seven clean sheets and conceded 34 goals in 26 appearances to earn a maiden call-up to the senior Italy squad.
