Tuchel explained it was not the same leg that he previously injured, with a hamstring issue keeping him out for several months.
Chelsea have looked really good in the last few games, having won three games on the bounce, but the news of the James’ injury will have rattled the squad.
Tuchel said everyone trained today at Cobham, except James and Ben Chilwell.

“We know he is a key part of what we do and he has shown it, but he has muscular problems and for now that is all I know.
“Certainly a setback for us but we have to wait and see what the examinations say and we will take it from there.”
Ben Chilwell update
There was however some better news concerning fellow full-back Ben Chilwell, who made his first return to grass since his ACL operation.

“The weather made it possible he could do the exercise outside.
“They made him smell the grass and get a bit excited, but nothing close to football or team training.”

Hide AdThe Blues will hope to continue their fine form at Carrow Road and end the season on the high, after what has been a disappointing campaign in the league.
They are still in the round of sixteen in the Champions League and the quarter final stage of the FA Cup, which Thomas Tuchel will look to mount a strong challenge on.
The Blues have also won the European Super Cup and the Club World Cup so any other trophy this season will make it a very attractive one, even if they just missed out on a chance to put up a very strong challenge for the Premier League title.
