Chelsea training photos reveal further boost ahead Nottingham Forest as 21-year-old back in training

Chelsea can still finish fifth on the league table but will have to win their remaining three games and hope other results go their way.

Chelsea defender Levi Colwill was pictured in training ahead of Chelsea's game against Nottingham Forest this weekend. The 21-year-old was one of three players the club posted on their social media handles preparing for the Premier League game this weekend.

The England international has played 32 games in all competitions but has not been involved since March when he injured his toe and has since been battling to be fully fit. He was named in the squad for the first time in months at the weekend against West Ham but failed to come off the bench.

Colwill will now hope to at least play a part away at the City Ground when they take on a Forest side who are fighting for Premier League survival. Marc Cucurella has been brilliant at left-back since the turn of the year so it will be interesting to see how manager Mauricio Pochettino can reintegrate Colwill back into the squad.

Chelsea finishing strongly

Chelsea have only lost one game in 18 outings at Stamford Bridge and their league form has been transformed with impressive wins against Manchester UnitedEvertonTottenham and West Ham.

A delighted Pochettino has admitted his team is getting better but warned that the most difficult thing as a manager is being asked to build a new team as it requires trust from everyone.

He told reporters after the win that took them seventh on the league table: “People who know about football, the process to build a team is the most difficult thing because you need to have the capacity to emphasise with every single player. They need to trust in us, in the coaching staff. That is the most important thing and then you need to start to identify the players, and what they need. This process always takes time – more with the circumstances we have had from the beginning of the season.”

A win at Forest will consolidate seventh place and possibly pile pressure on Newcastle United in sixth and Tottenham in fifth going into the last week of the campaign.
