Chelsea's £19m signing spotted at Stamford Bridge despite being snubbed from match day squad
Chelsea's summer signing Omari Kellyman was spotted at Stamford Bridge for the first time as Chelsea fell to a 2-0 defeat to Manchester City in the Premier League. Erling Haaland and Mateo Kovacic scored the goals as Manchester City started their quest for a fifth consecutive league title with a win.
There were a few notable decisions made, including leaving Raheem Sterling out of the matchday squad, with the manager explaining it was a technical decision. Carney Chukwuemeka and Axel Disasi were also absent from the squad.

Hide AdOmari Kellyman, who joined from Aston Villa in the summer after making six appearances for Villa last season, has yet to feature for Chelsea in pre-season.
Reports suggest that an injury has kept him out of pre-season, but the club has not provided an explanation for his continued absence since the team returned for friendlies and the Premier League opener.
Kellyman's situation is being closely watched, alongside that of Raheem Sterling. Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca confirmed that Sterling was left out due to a technical decision. When asked about Sterling, Maresca said: “I want Raheem Sterling, but I also want all the other 40 players we have, and there is clearly no space for all of them, so some of them have to leave.”
Chelsea are now expected to move on some players to create a healthier, more manageable squad. On the field the attention will now turn to Thursday night’s Europa Conference League qualifier against Swiss side Servette.
