Oliver Glasner issues Crystal Palace injury update on four players ahead of Man Utd clash amid 'sad' blow
Crystal Palace boss Oliver Glasner has issued a transfer update ahead of his side’s clash with Manchester United on Saturday. The Eagles welcome the Red Devils to Selhurst Park as they continue their search for a first league win of the season.
Palace currently have just two points from four games so far, drawing their last two games, against Chelsea and Leicester City. They face a tough test against United at home, with an away clash against Everton and a home date with Liverpool also to come before the October international break.

He has some [injury] to do with the tendon on the toe – we will miss him for several weeks,” Glasner said, as reported by the South London press. “The tendon has to heal, so it will take a little bit. It’s a bad situation for him, but he will be back in a few weeks.
“He was sad, but he had a lot of pain during the [Leicester] game and after the game. We are pleased that it’s not so serious because it was so painful that we worried it was a serious injury. It’s not – it’s several weeks. He was out for eight months, so several weeks is a short period.”
Elsewhere, Matheus Franca is nearing a return even if he will not feature here. “He has recovered quicker than expected,” Glasner added. “He trained with the team on Wednesday and today. It’s still a little bit too early [for him to play]. He will train next week – he’s coming back.”
Chalobah and Wharton latest
Asked about new signing Trevoh Chalobah, Glasner added: “He’s progressing, but he’s not available tomorrow. We expect him back with the team next week.” As for Adam Wharton, it’s a case of back to full strength.
