Chelsea have ruled out going for PSG’s Neymar despite the Brazilian being available for a cut price this summer. Blues boss Mauricio Pochettino is reportedly not keen on reuniting with Neymar whom he worked with during his time in France.

The Brazilian is one of the world’s highest-paid athletes with a reported wage in the region of £600,000-a-week which makes him widely out of the budget for the west London club.

Chelsea are looking to bid for young players who will be committed to the club for long but the success of someone like Thiago Silva has highlighted the need to keep the door open for generational experienced players to help guide the young ones.

Chelsea have been hit with a blow with the news that striker Christopher Nkunku who impressed during the tour of the United States has had a bad injury with many fearing it might have been a meniscus knee injury and will require an operation.

This added to the long chase of the Brighton and Hove Albion midfielder Moises Caicedo has made it a challenging transfer window when it comes to bringing in players though Sporting Directors  Laurence Stewart and Paul Winstanley have worked well to sell players who were not committed to the club or didn't fit the profile they were looking to build.

The Blues still have the issue of Romelu Lukaku, Callum Hudson Odoi and Hakim Ziyech to deal with even will look to bring at leats four new players before the transfer window shuts at the end of this month.
