Chelsea could be set to add to their sizeable squad, with reports suggesting they have eyed Getafe midfielder Christantus Uche as a target for the January transfer window after the midfielder has impressed in La Liga so far this season.
Uche, 21, can either play as a defensive midfielder or more of an attacking midfielder for Getafe, and has made 10 La Liga appearances so far this season scoring one goal in that time. Reports in Spain suggest that Chelsea have been impressed by the Nigerian international’s form this season and could make a move for the 21-year-old in January.

The report says that Chelsea have ‘made contact’ regarding Uche, but it is not clarified whether that is to the player or directly to Getafe as of yet. If they are interested, a move could be made in the January transfer window
How much could Christantus Uche cost Chelsea to sign?
The midfielder clearly boasts a heavy amount of potential which could drive up his price should Getafe remain keen on keeping hold of him. According to TransferMarkt, Uche’s current value sits at around £4 million, however, Chelsea would expect to pay far more for his signature.
Uche recently signed a new deal at Getafe keeping him under contract at the club until June 2028 with an option to trigger an extra one year onto the deal so with potential to remain at the La Liga side until 2029.
