Chelsea will be looking for a big response tomorrow night when they take on Blackburn in the League Cup after the defeat to Brentford in the Premier League.

Mauricio Pochettino looked to have turned the corner with an impressive draw against Arsenal after the international break- but a defeat to Brentford has brought back the heat and they will have to now find a response in the Cup game before travelling to north London for the big one against Tottenham.

On the injury front, there are a few players who will want to get minutes, Reece James and Benoit Badiashile are likely to start while Enzo Fernandez who missed the game against Brentford is also likely to return.

Pochettino revealed that the midfielder missed out due to a “small muscle issue”, with the problem not believed to be one that will rule Fernandez out for long.

Another player who missed the game against Brentford was the in-form Ukrainian forward Mykhailo Mudryk which was a massive blow to the team because he had scored in the game against Arsenal.

The forward has been in the best shape since joining Chelsea in January and there is no doubt that he would be in the team if he was fit in enough. both the player and manager will want to have him back as soon as possible.

The likes of Ben Chilwell, Christopher Nkunku, Romeo Lavia and Armando Broja will all however miss this one.
