Chelsea are open to selling Callum Hudson-Odoi this summer and Nottingham Forest and Crystal Palace are clubs who have him on their list.

Odoi has been at Chelsea since he was six and only spent last season out on loan at German side Bayer Leverkusen where he managed just 21 games all season.

The 22-year-old is now back at Cobham and is part of a group of players the club is looking to get rid of. Chelsea have asked he considers a reduction on his £120,000-a-week wages if he wants to stay and fight for his spot under new manager Mauricio Pochettino.

The Blues have also indicated their willingness to cancel his contract in the same style they did to Tiemoue Bakayoko if he was willing to halve his wages, the club would then pay him the remainder and terminate his contract, paving the way for him to join another club of his choice as a free agent.

Odoi has been back at Cobham this week alongside a host of other loan players but his future is far from certain in west London, most are expecting a departure but that could be late in the transfer window with discussions ongoing.

Wandsworth-born Odoi has played 126 games for Chelsea since he made his first-team debut in 2018 in an FA Cup game against Newcastle, he’s netted 16 times. Last season he could only manage one goal in 14 Bundesliga games in Germany.

Chelsea are looking to go in a different direction under new manager Mauricio Pochettino who began work on Monday. They have already sold Champions League-winning forward Kai Havertz to Arsenal- multiple winner and highly-respected member of the dressing room Mateo Kovacic to Manchester City while the likes of N’Golo Kante, Edouard Mendy, and Kalidou Koulibaly have all left the club this summer.

They are looking to ship out more and balance the books after coming close to the FFP redline following a period where they splashed almost £600million on new players in two transfer windows.

In the coming days, Chelsea will look to bring in Brighton and Hove Albion midfielder Moises Caicedo having held an interest in him following the departure of Kante. It is however expected that they will have to pay close to £100million for his services given West Ham United squeezed £105million for Declan Rice from Arsenal.

Chelsea are also looking at  Celta Vigo star Gabri Veiga having brought in the likes of Nicolas Jackson and Christopher Nkunku.
