Chelsea and Tottenham will be hard at work preparing for another weekend of Premier League action.

The two London club have put together differing starts to the new season, with the Blues on one point after their defeat to West Ham, while Tottenham have four points after defeating Manchester United. Another weekend of action awaits, but in the meantime, both Chelsea and Spurs will be continuing to work on incoming and outgoing transfers.

With that in mind, we have rounded up all the latest transfer news and rumours surrounding both clubs.

Veiga blow

Chelsea have missed out on reported target Gabri Veiga.

Fabrizio Romano has tweeted: “EXCLUSIVE: Gabri Veiga to Al Ahli, here we go! Bid accepted by Celta, player also said yes. Coach Jaissle was crucial for Veiga to accept.

“Al Ahli sign their secret top target. Saudi side want to invest on world best talents — and now they also got the gem Gabri Veiga.”

Celta Vigo starlet Veiga was heavily linked with a move to Chelsea, as well as Arsenal and Real Madrid. Instead, he becomes the next player to head to Saudi Arabia, and one of the few truly young prospects to make the move.

Tottenham have been linked with a possible swap deal involving current star Eric Dier and Fulham star Tosin Adarabioyo.

Ben Jacobs has told Last Word on Spurs: “With Tosin, my understanding was that he preferred to sign for Monaco, but from Fulham’s point of view, they were perhaps interested in some sort of deal that might involve Eric Dier going the other way, so we wait and see if the player changes his mind.”

Adarabioyo is a centre-back who has impressed for Fulham over the last couple of seasons, racking up 99 league appearances. He is now 25 years of age.
