Incoming Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino has now flown into London from Spain as Chelsea prepare to announce him as their new boss ahead of next season.

The former Tottenham manager is making history by becoming the first manager to move from the north London side to the southwest club even though the likes of Mourinho and Antonio Conte have moved from Chelsea to Tottenham in recent history.

This season has been one to forget for Chelsea fans, players, and board but many of them are backing the imminent appointment of Pochettino as the man to restructure the club and get them back to competing and winning big trophies.

Sources say Pochettino will sign a three-year deal with an option for another when he finally puts together all his backroom staff and the deal is announced.

Chelsea have a difficult run in and could end up out of the top 10 in the Premier League with games against Manchester City, Newcastle, and Manchester United all still to come.

The decision to sign 18 players since taking over the club from Roman Abramovich has uncovered new problems at the club and Pochettino will have to quickly find solutions by first identifying players he wants to work with and letting go of those he finds surplus to requirement.

There are also 21 loan players who are coming back this summer even though most of them will not be part of the team but a decision will still have to be made for them.
