Often the hero of shoot-outs, Chelsea’s goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga turned villain after missing his shot, but his teammates quickly rallied behind him to give him support and encouragement.

The Blues might not have won the Cup at Wembley but their fans won the hearts of the watching world with their support for Ukraine on the day.

On Saturday, Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich announced that he was handing the “stewardship and care” of the club to it’s trustees.

There had been huge pressure on the club following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine with Roman reported to be a close friend of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
