Bournemouth midfielder David Brooks has found form at the right time with Chelsea visiting this weekend for their Premier League game.

He climbed off the bench to score and seal a 2-0 win for Wales against Latvia last night, adding to his League Cup goal against Swansea and his strike against Brentford the other day.

The goal against Swansea was his first in more than a year and his improved performance has been reflected in his confidence in front of goal.

Chelsea will take on the Cherries needing a win after a disappointing 1-0 defeat to Nottingham Forest before the international break.

Manager Mauricio Pochettino will need a better performance given the boos from the home fans in the defeat to Steve Cooper’s side. That was the first time Chelsea had lost a home league game to Forest in more than 20 years. The London-based club will hope to have Benoit Badiashile available for the first time this season, but the interesting scenario still is if he would be risked having not played since last season.

There is also the question of what his return to full fitness will mean for someone like Levi Colweill who has signed a new deal at the club and started all four league games and earned a call-up to the England team.

There is also a question on the attacking play with Raheem Sterling looking like the only one who can get a goal at the moment. Nicolas Jackson looks like a promising talent while the injury to Christopher Nkunku has landed an unexpected blow to the team.

The Blues have also been rocked by the news that new signing Romeo Lavia might be out for almost six weeks after picking a knock in training.
