A look at the injury news surrounding Charlton Athletic and their play-off semi-final opponents Wycombe Wanderers.

Charlton Athletic are preparing for their League One play-off semi-final first leg with Wycombe Wanderers on Sunday. The Addicks finished fourth in League One, bagging themselves a home clash in the second leg, but they must first survive the away first leg, which is so often key in these play-off duels.

Nathan Jones’ men thrashed Wycombe as recently as late April, but this will likely be a very different game given the size of the stakes. Mike Dodds’ men may have lost their last three games, but this is show time for both teams, and their whole seasons are on the line. Here we round up the injury news surrounding both teams ahead of the first leg at Adams Park.

Sam Vokes - Out

Sam Vokes has been ruled out for the play-offs, with Wycombe explaining in a statement: “Striker Vokes suffered a broken arm after falling awkwardly following an aerial duel soon after coming off the bench against Stockport County, and will undergo an operation this week.”

Josh Scowen - Out

A statement also confirmed Scowen’s absence for the post-season fixtures. It read: “Scowen was the victim of a poor challenge at Leyton Orient seven days earlier and scans have revealed anterior cruciate ligament damage which requires surgery and a lengthy period of rehabilitation.”

Thierry Small - Doubt

Small has been dealing with what has been described as a ‘minor’ injury but he has remained absent for the last two. He will be hoping to return here.

Luke Berry - Doubt

Jones initially said: "It was a bruising game so we’ve had to dust them down this week. Everything’s going to be touch and go before the weekend, so we’ll just see. We’re going up there in good spirits and if anyone doesn’t make it, it’s just another opportunity for someone else." Berry has missed the last two, so he will remain a doubt until he is confirmed one way or another.

Miles Leaburn - Out

Leaburn is out for the season. Jones said at the time: “It has been a productive one because it was probably more productive than last year. It is a step up. He has been part of a real progression and evolution process here. And he is one that will only get better. He needs a certain amount of work around his body, and so on, to get the durability back but he has been fantastic – in how he has trained and come back from that, mentally and physically. It was really innocuous how he picked up this injury and that is the frustrating thing for us.”

Gassan Ahadme - Doubt

Jones said after the Wrexham game: “We lost Gassan (Ahadme), we lost Ashley Maynard-Brewer, we lost Lloyd (Jones). Lloyd hasn’t trained all week, he’s been on more painkillers than I can imagine and he wasn’t right today.” Ahadme also missed the final game of the regular season, but it will be hoped the time off will allow him to be back in contention.

Lloyd Jones - Doubt

The same can be said of Jones, although it will be hoped the rest will give him enough time to play this weekend.
