Charlton Athletic will look to maintain a hugely impressive unbeaten run under Nathan Jones when Wigan Athletic come calling at The Valley on Tuesday night.

The Addicks haven't lost a game since Jones' first in charge, a trip to Reading which resulted in a 2-0 defeat, and are now unbeaten in 11 league outings. It's a head-turning run of form under the ex Southampton boss, with a seemingly relegation-doomed Charlton side now sitting 16th in League One and are 10 points clear of the drop zone.

Charlton beat Barnsley 2-1 last weekend thanks to an Alfie May brace and have just days to prepare for the visit of Wigan Athletic. The hosts are boosted by injury news coming from the Latics, especially to one hotshot on loan from Premier League side Liverpool.

Luke Chambers had featured in every League Out match since arriving on loan from the Reds in January, starting all but one. However, the versatile 19-year-old was absent from his side's squad for their goalless draw with Port Vale last weekend.

Chambers, who is a product of the Liverpool youth academy and featured on Jurgen Klopp's bench for several Premier League fixtures in the first half of the campaign, has made three Europa League appearances for Liverpool this season.

He had been impressing at Wigan but is now set not to feature against Charlton after picking up an issue while playing for the England under-20 side in the recent international break. Latics boss Maloney told Wigan Today: "Luke's had a very hectic few weeks, and we've been trying to manage him as best we can. Unfortunately, I don't think he'll be back until the very last game of the season, the same sort of timeframe as Josh Stones."

Charlton emerged victors the last time the two sides met at the DW Stadium earlier this season. In that October clash, May grabbed a brace and Corey Blackett-Taylor also hit the back of the net to put the Addicks 3-0 up at half-time.

The hosts pulled two goals back in the second half, their second coming in the 90th minute, but the London outfit managed to cling on to the three points in a 3-2 triumph.
