Charlton sent enticing transfer message as Portsmouth man set for free exit
It may be feeling like a long two weeks without League One action for Charlton Athletic supporters, who had been enjoying a revived Addicks side under Nathan Jones in recent weeks.
However, there are two games in the space of four days to look forward to over Easter as the season returns with Charlton looking to keep putting distance between themselves and the relegation zone.

Charlton sent contract message
Charlton Athletic defender Thierry Small did not mince his words when addressing his footballing future. The 19-year-old signed a short-term contract with the Addicks at the start of February and, as it stands, is set to be a free agent come the end of the campaign.
Charlton had confirmed that the deal in February came with the club holding the chance to extend it for another year should Small impress at The Valley. Speaking to London News Online about his future, Small admitted that he hopes his time at the League One outfit will be extended.
He said: "I’m here for everything. If that is what the club wants to do then it is something I wouldn’t be turning down.

Hide Ad“My goal right now is getting as many games as I can in for Charlton and that we finish the season as strongly as possible. We’re on a good little run. Hopefully, we can keep that form going heading into next season.”
The Solihull-born full-back came through the academies at West Brom and Everton and became the Toffees' youngest-ever player when making his debut in the FA Cup under Carlo Ancelotti in 2021. Small has made seven appearances for the Addicks since joining and, still just a teenager, is an exciting prospect for the club.
Portsmouth youngster set for summer exit
Portsmouth defender Liam Vincent is expected to leave Fratton Park as a free agent this summer having never made a senior appearance for Pompey.
The 20-year-old is on loan at National League side Tonbridge Angels this term and has had his spell extended until the end of the season having impressed at the Longmead Stadium. His versatility has been vital for the side and Portsmouth approved a request for an extension.

Hide AdThe News reports that it means the 2021 signing from Bromley is now set to leave Portsmouth when his contract expires this summer without paying for the first team. Portsmouth had fought off Championship and Premier League clubs to sign the promising youngster three years ago.
Vincent is expected to be one of 11 Portsmouth youngsters released by the promotion-chasing outfit come the end of the League One campaign.
