Christian Eriksen will be able to show his new teammates and manager what he’s got when Manchester United take on lower league side Wrexham in a behind closed doors game on Wednesday afternoon.

The Danish has been a United player for more than a week, but did not take part in the first pre-season games because he was afforded extra time off.

The former Brentford and Tottenham man was pictured arriving at Manchester United’s training ground for the first time on Tuesday morning alongside new signing Lisandro Martinez.

Cristiano Ronaldo also turned up for training for the first time, having stayed back in Portugal to keep fit and due to personal issues.

Eriksen signed for Manchester United after an impressive short stint with Brentford, where he was one of their star players in the second half of the season.

His quality and passing range is expected to hand manager Erik ten Hag options in the middle and attacking end of the pitch.

Manchester United have looked bright in their pre-season games and even though it’s still too early to tell how far they can go this season, there clearly has been an improvement in the team.

After the game against Wrexham this weekend, Manchester United still have two games before the season starts including high profile preseason games against Atletico Madrid and Rayo Vallecano this coming weekend.

There is a big chance that Eriksen will feature heavily in both of them as he looks to get his fitness and start the season on fire.
