Brentford pair Pontus Jansson and Frank Onyeka are in contention to play against Fulham on Monday night. The duo have both been out of action over recent times and neither have featured in 2023 so far.

However, they have returned to training now and are available for selection as the Bees prepare to face Marco Silva’s side at the Gtech Community Stadium. However, second choice goalkeeper Thomas Strakosha is still not back yet, as detailed on the club’s official club website.

Brentford are dreaming of European football next term after their impressive season so far. They are 9th in the Premier League table and take on a Fulham side who are two places above them in 7th.

Jansson, 32, will face a battle to get back into the side ahead of players such as Ethan Pinnock and Ben Mee but his return is a boost for Thomas Frank as he injects useful experience into the squad. The Sweden international has been with the club since joining from Leeds United back in 2019.

Onyeka, on the other hand, provides another solid option in midfield. He has made 13 appearances in all competitions so far this term, 11 of which have come in the league.

Brentford are in decent form at the moment and drew 1-1 with Crystal Palace last time out. They are unbeaten in their last 12 matches.
