Brentford are reportedly interested in Ferencváros midfielder Aïssa Laïdouni and Fiorentina defender Igor Julio. The Bees are being linked with two new names with the January transfer window shutting next Tuesday.

Thomas Frank’s side have so far signed attacker Kevin Schade from Eintracht Frankfurt this month. They have also let a few players head out the exit door on loan like Charlie Goode, Tarique Fosu and Mads Bech Sorensen.

According to Foot Mercato, Brentford are one of few European teams keen on Laïdouni. The likes of Sampdoria, Stuttgart, Toulouse and Union Berlin have also been mentioned as potential suitors. The 26-year-old Tunisia international was at the World Cup in Qatar earlier this winter and could seen as a possible midfield option.

The Bees have also been credited with an interest in centre-back Igor. Firenze Viola claim fellow Premier League clubs Leeds United and Brighton and Hove Albion are also in the frame for his signature. He has been playing for Fiorentina since 2020 and has made 68 appearances for the Serie A outfit in all competitions, having previously had spells at Red Bull Salzburg and SPAL.

In other Brentford news, forward Halil Dervisoglu is expected to be recalled from his loan spell at Burnley, as detailed in a report by Lancashire Live. He has struggled for game time with the Championship table toppers.
