The race is on for Brentford and Crystal Palace target Haji Wright from Antalyaspor with new clubs reportedly showing interest in landing him. The striker is a wanted man in this January transfer window after catching the eye at the World Cup with USA.

According to a report by Yeni Safak, Turkish giants Fenerbahce and Galatasaray are both keen on snapping him up. Russian outfit Lokomotiv Moscow are also said to be keen.

Journalist Tom Bogert has reported on Twitter that Brentford have made a bid for the forward and has also mentioned Crystal Palace’s interest. It is yet to be known whether the Bees’ first offer has been accepted or not as his future continues to be up in the air.

Wright, 24, has scored 10 goals in 16 games in all competitions so far this term for Antalyaspor. He wasn’t in their squad this weekend in the Turkish Super Lig as they drew 2-2 with Giresunspor at home.

Thomas Frank’s side need some more competition and cover up front for Ivan Toney and could see the former Schalke man as an ideal candidate. However, Patrick Viera needs reinforcements at the top end of the pitch at Selhurst Park as well with the goals starting to dry up there. Both London clubs would need to bat away interest from overseas if they are to sign the American this winter.
