Brentford are reportedly keen on Dynamo Kyiv attacker Viktor Tsyhankov. The Ukraine international is the latest player to be linked with a move to the Bees this winter.

According to a report by Sport Arena, Thomas Frank’s side are ‘interested’ in luring him to the Gtech Community Stadium. Fellow Premier League side Nottingham Forest have also been mentioned as a potential suitor as have Spanish club Girona, who have links to Manchester City.

Brentford could see Tsyhankov as someone to add more competition and depth to their options in the middle of the park. At the age of 25, he will be coming into his prime and may fancy his chances of showing what he can do in another league now.

The Israel-born man started his career at FC Nyva Vinnytsia before Dynamo Kyiv snapped him up as a youngster back in 2011. He has since risen into their first-team and is now one of their most prized assets.

Tsyhankov has made 236 appearances in all competitions for the Ukrainian Premier League outfit to date and has chipped in with an impressive 94 goals. His contract expires this summer meaning he is due to become a free agent at the end of this campaign.

Elsewhere, Brentford have let young defender Edon Pruti leave the club on a permanent basis. He has been snapped up by League Two side Hartlepool United.
