Brentford finished their first season in the Premier League 13th, without any threat of relegation and players like Ivan Toney and Christian Eriksen standing out.

Thomas Frank’s side challenged for a top 10 spot, and were the only promoted side to stay up.

On the final day - after going down to nine men due to injuries and red cards -they were hit by a 2-1 defeat to relegation-threatened Leeds United.

The Bees were tipped to go back to the Championship at the beginning of their first season in the English top flight since 1947, but they made some smart signings and are now looking to build on what they achieved.

The fans always filled the new stadium to capacity and cheered on as their team made them proud on the pitch.

And for a team that came to the Premier League via the play-offs, they were never in the relegation zone at any point.

The club is still in talks with Eriksen to try and extend his stay, and Thomas Frank is already looking to add more players that will see them avoid the kind of second season Leeds have suffered.
