Arsenal player ratings gallery: Two Gunners star score 8/10 as Arsenal beat Wolves

Granit Xhaka’s early substitution vs Wolves was a concern ahead of the World Cup

Arsenal were unphased by Manchester City’s defeat to Brentford as they beat Wolves 2-0 at the Molineux Stadium. The Gunners are now five points clear at the top of the Premier League.

Wolves started positively and had a couple of good chances against an Arsenal side that didn’t look quite at their best, however the hosts’ lack of attacking threat was their downfall once again. While Mikel Arteta’s side will be disappointed with their display, they were still able to create a bit of real quality when Martin Odegaard turned in Fabio Vieira’s low cross to open the scoring in the second half. The Denmark international then claimed his brace when he tucked away the rebound after Gabriel Martinelli’s shot was saved.

The North London club are now guaranteed to be top of the Premier League on Christmas Day for the first time since 2007. Here is how we rated the Arsenal players today.
