It was a frantic derby clash at the Emirates Stadium, and one Arsenal took control of early on, with Thomas Partey scoring with a superb long-range strike.

Tottenham equalised in the first half after Richarlison won a penalty, with Harry Kane making no mistake.

But after the break, it was Mikel Arteta’s men who took control, with Gabriel Jesus scoring within four minutes of the restart, the Brazilian taking advantage of a mistake at the back.

Emerson Royal was then given his marching orders for a nasty challenge, and Arsenal again took advantage, with Granit Xhaka sweeping home an excellent finish.

The win means Arsenal remain top of the league having won all but one of their games so far.
