Nine players linked with Arsenal transfer ahead of January transfer window - and their best photo moments
Douglas Luiz, Jude Bellingham and Ruben Neves all feature on list. Mikel Arteta and Edu will look to strengthen for the second half of Premier League season
Arsenal had a very active summer transfer window where they brought in the likes of Gabriel Jesus, Oleksandr Zinchenko and Fabio Vieria.
The new signings have hit the ground running but there will always be room for more strength in depth and there will no doubt be plenty of plans behind the scenes for the next window in January.
Head coach Mikel Arteta and technical director Edu are likely to have identified targets while they could also revisit players they showed an interest in during the summer but weren’t able to secure deals for.
The likes of Leicester City midfielder Youri Tielemans and Crystal Palace star Wilfred Zaha were amongst the most high profile names with strong links to the Gunners earlier this year while new names like Aston Villa’s Douglas Luiz have emerged.
Meanwhile, the Gunners are also credited in multiple publications with interest in England sensation Jude Bellingham and RB Leipzig winger Christopher Nkunku but would face competition from several other clubs to sign those players.
Here are nine of the best players that have been linked with January moves to Arsenal in recent weeks in photos showing some of the recent high points in their respective careers:
1. Douglas Luiz
The Brazilian has been Aston Villa’s star man this season and netted in their 2-1 defeat to the Gunners at the Emirates this season
2. Youri Tielemans
Leicester managed to keep a hold of the Belgian international in the summer despite links to Arsenal as well as Newcastle, Man Utd, Liverpool and many more
3. Wilfried Zaha
Another player that was linked with a move to Arsenal in the summer as well as Chelsea but will he make the move across London in January?
4. Jude Bellingham
The 19-year old continues to impress for England and Borussia Dortmund but the Gunners are far from the only club said to be interested in signing him
