The serial Europa League winner spent 18 months at the Emirates Stadium between 2018 and 2019, and managed mixed results.
Under Emery’s guide, Arsenal finished within a whisker of the top four and reached the Europa League final before losing to Chelsea.
He was ultimately sacked with Arsenal in eighth place, something Mikel Arteta did not manage to improve on in his first season and a half in charge.
Arteta has since improved the Gunners, but his win percentage remains below that of Emery’s by around two percent.
Only Pat Rice, Joe Shaw and Arsene Wenger have managed better win percentages than Emery’s 55%, and Gunners fans were left pondering whether it was the right decision to sack him when he went on to win the Europa League with Villarreal last season, beating Arsenal on his way.
Since then, the positives under Arteta have overwhelmed any slice of regret or wonder, but some of Emery’s legacy lives on.
A number of the Spaniard’s signings remain at the Emirates Stadium today, and with that, let’s take a look at all of Emery’s captures from his time at Arsenal to gauge how he performed in the market during his time in north London.

1. Nicolas Pepe
The biggest of them all is Nicolas Pepe, who arrived for around £70million. Pepe has struggled to live up to his transfer fee at the Emirates Stadium, scoring 15 in 69 Premier League appearances. There is still hope for Pepe given he remains at the club, but he has struggled to break in under Mikel Arteta, starting just five times in the Premier League so far this term. | Getty Images

2. William Saliba
William Saliba was signed from Saint-Etienne in the region of £27million and he remains a prospect. He hasn’t made a senior appearance just yet, but he is still only 20 years of age, and it’s still hoped he has a future at the Emirates Stadium. 3. Lucas Torreira
Torreira featured regularly during his first couple of years at Arsenal, making 63 Premier League appearances. The Uruguayan enjoyed a very good first season but that remains his best season in a Gunners shirt. He joined Atletico Madrid on loan midway through last season and he is currently with Fiorentina. 4. Kieran Tierney
Kieran Tierney joined Arsenal from Celtic for around £25million and he has proved to be a solid signing. The pacey full-back remains a regular under Arteta and while his strengths are greater in getting forward than defending, his continued presence means this was a wise signing from Emery, and he is still only 24 years of age. | Getty Images
