'Pure greed' - Ian Wright baffled as Arsenal star close to England embarrassment

Arsenal legend Ian Wright was left baffled by a piece of decision-making by Finland on Tuesday night as the nation failed to capitalise on a mistake by Gunners midfielder Declan Rice.
The 25-year-old, who is enjoying game time for the Three Lions ahead of missing this weekend's clash with Tottenham Hotspur with a suspension, was caught sleeping on the ball by an opposition man. Rice saw the ball escape his stride and slotted through towards the advancing Topi Keskinen.

Hide AdKeskinen, who plays for Scottish Premiership side Aberdeen, powered at a skittled England defence but failed to pass to teammate Teemu Pukki, who has escaped Ezri Konsa and had a clear shot at Jordan Pickford's goal.
Rice, who was labelled as 'sloppy' by Matthew Upson on BBC Radio 5 Live for being dispossessed, was let off the hook by Kekinen's decision-making. Fingers would no doubt have been pointed at the Gunners man should Pukki have been slotted through and scored.
Speaking at half time, Wright said: "It's unforgivable. I can't understand that. What he's done there, he just wants to score at Wembley. He needs to give it to Pukki there. It's pure greed."

It was a rare moment of promise from Finland, who had been defensively resolute in the opening 45 minutes but seen England dominate play in the Nations League match. At the break, Manchester United legend Roy Keane added his disapproval at Pukki not reacting more at the error in judgement.

Hide AdKeane said: "If you've got a teammate in a better position, you've got to find him. It's just pure greed decision-making. If he shoots and hits the top corner you forgive him, but he has to make that pass at this level. Pukki should be fuming. You're not going to get many opportunities and he's in on goal, with his record, he'd have scored. He'll be fuming with it."
