Chelsea set £25m star as 'January priority' as Tottenham 'sweating' on injury issue for Arsenal clash
All the latest news and transfer rumours surrounding Chelsea and Tottenham.
The Premier League will return in just a few days with the international break almost over and done with, while many players have already returned to their clubs. Chelsea and Tottenham will both be looking forward to returning to action, with both teams picking up four points from their first three games.

Enzo Maresca’s men get back to action against Bournemouth this weekend, while Spurs take on injury-hit rivals Arsenal in the North London derby. In the meantime, we have rounded up all the latest news and transfer rumours surrounding Chelsea and Tottenham.
Dorgu latest
Chelsea are said to be pushing for a deal to sign Lecce starlet Patrick Dorgu in the January transfer window. According to CaughtOffside, Dorgu could be a priority this window should the Blues continue their spending.
Tottenham have also been credited with an interest in the left-back. It’s reported that Lecce want around £25million to complete a sale, with the 19-year-old tipped for big things, already a regular at senior level.
Sutton claim
Chelsea have invested heavily over recent years, also spending plenty of money on new managers, and indeed old ones, axing a number of managers and paying plenty of money to do it.
With such investment comes expectation, and the club have failed to live up expectations since the Champions League win. This year could be different, though, and Chris Sutton believes it should be Champions League or bust for the Blues. He said on ‘It’s All Kicking Off!’: “If Chelsea don’t win the Conference League, is that a total embarrassment on them? It would be embarrassing if Chelsea don’t win it.”
Spurs sweat on injury
Tottenham are still said to be sweating on the fitness of Micky van de Ven for the North London derby. The centre-back picked up an injury during the win over Everton, although he carried on playing in the game.
The hope is that he will get back to full fitness ahead of the derby, but there are reports claiming the centre-back could wind up missing out. Meanwhile, Arsenal are also dealing with a number of injury issues, with Martin Odegaard now sidelined following an ankle issue picked up on international duty.
