Scott Minto backs Gunners to sign Ivan Toney

Former Chelsea defender Scott Minto has backed Arsenal to secure a deal for Brentford's Ivan Toney in a recent interview on TalkSPORT. While he says that he 'would love to see him at Chelsea', he believes that his next destination will be the Emirates Stadium - and that he will leave Brentford sooner, rather than later.

On the prospect of Arsenal signing Ivan Toney, Minto said: "With Ivan Toney, it’s a case of when he leaves Brentford, not if. I’d love to see him at Chelsea, but I think he’ll be at Arsenal next season.”

Arsenal yet to agree terms with Jorginho

Jorginho's contract at Arsenal is set to expire at the conclusion of the 2023/24 Premier League season - and talks between the two parties are thought to be at a standstill.

The 31-year-old's agent, Joao Santos, maintained that 'the priority remains Arsenal' but also mentioned that 'everything is at a standstill' regarding contract talks. Jorginho signed for Arsenal in January 2023 from Chelsea.

Previously, when asked about a potential return to his native Italy, Jorginho said: "I've doubts as I'd like to return but I don't know when is the right moment. I want to return to Italy but I feel to have still many things to achieve at Arsenal, I want to fight for titles there."
