Arsenal are set to revive their interest in a target from two years ago.

Arsenal were amongst the biggest spenders in the Premier League last summer and a combined total of over £250m was spent on the likes of Declan Rice, Kai Havertz, Jurrien Timber and David Raya. However, with Champions League football adding to the workload, more business could be completed in January.

One of the key positions on Mikel Arteta’s radar is believed to be the central forward position and recent reports from football.london claim that Dusan Vlahovic is a top target for the winter window.

The Serbian striker is a familiar name to many Arsenal fans and was heavily touted to be a target for Arteta two years ago before his eventual move to Juventus.

The 23-year-old thrived during his time at Fiorentina and scored an impressive 38 goals in his final 58 games for the club. He joined Juventus for a fee of £66.6m, according to Sky Sports and carried on where he had left off in Florence with seven goals in his first 15 games.

Vlahovic scored 10 goals in 27 league appearances for the Old Lady last season and has since scored four goals in his opening 10 games this term.

However, the striker's future at Juventus remains uncertain amid reports that the Serbian is stalling over a new contract with the club.

The striker’s existing deal takes him until the summer of 2026, but reports from TuttoJuve claim Real Madrid and Arsenal are keeping tabs on the 23-year-old.

Los Blancos are on the hunt for a new striker having lost Karim Benzema in the summer and are looking for further firepower to support new signing Joselu.

Meanwhile, the Gunners are in the market for a centre forward with the likes of Ian Wright, Roy Keane and Neil Warnock all describing it as a priority position for Arsenal.

Football.london adds that Arsenal have an advantage when it comes to signing the striker as if they have Thomas Partey at their disposal.

The Ghanian is heavily linked with a departure from the Emirates in January and Sky Sports has previously stated that Juventus are the frontrunners to sign him as they look for a replacement for the now suspended Paul Pogba.

The outlet claims that Juventus’ sporting director was in London to meet the player and adds that Partey could be used as makeweight to get the deal for Vlahovic to happen at an affordable price.

Arsenal’s current strike force includes Gabriel Jesus, Kai Havertz and Eddie Nketiah, but could Vlahovic be the man to fire the Gunners to silverware?
