Arsenal have been linked with a move for Everton midfielder Amadou Onana in the January transfer window and are thought to be 'in talks' with the player. Despite this, Chelsea are also thought to be interested and could hijack the deal, according to Nieuwsblad Sport.

The Gunners are believed to be advancing their move for Onana at a fast rate - they are certainly leading Chelsea in the race to acquire his signature, but with the Blues' vast wealth of financial resources, anything is a possibility.

Arsenal to activate Jeremie Frimpong's release clause in the summer

Arsenal have long been linked with a move for Bayer Leverkusen's Jeremie Frimpong - sadly, Gunners fans may have to wait a while longer before we see him in the famous red and white. Arsenal are keen to activate his £34 million release clause, but will not do so until the summer transfer window.

This is according to a report from German outlet BILD. Arsenal aren't the only team who have been previously linked with Frimpong - Manchester United have also been allegedly interested - but whatever the case, he will not leave Leverkusen in January.
