Arsenal will step up their preparations for the new Premier League season when they take on German side FC Nurnberg on Thursday evening.

The Gunners kicked off their pre-season schedule with a 1-1 draw in a behind-closed-doors friendly against Championship club Watford last week but supporters will get a first view of Mikel Arteta’s men when they run out at the Max-Morlock Stadion.

It is just over 12 months since the two sides last met as a Gabriel Jesus brace and a Mohamed Elneny goal helped the Gunners to a 5-3 win over their hosts. A strong Arsenal squad will hope to produce a similar performance as they look to lay the foundations for another positive season in the Premier League and Champions League.

New signing Kai Havertz could feature after making a big money move from London rivals Chelsea but confirmation is still awaited over the completion of deals for West Ham United captain Declan Rice and Ajax defender Jurrien Timber.

With their latest pre-season fixture just hours away, here is what you need to know about the Gunners meeting with Nurnberg.

Where will the game take place and what time is kick-off?

The Max-Morlock Stadium is the venue for the friendly as the Gunners run out at the 50,000-capacity arena for the second successive year.

Kick-off is schedule for 6pm BST.
