Arsenal will be counting down the days until their return to action having gone into the international break in poor form and with their title hopes already hanging by a thread. The Gunners are already nine points behind leaders Liverpool, and they have a lot of work to do to get back into the race.
Injuries haven’t helped the Gunners this season, and Ben White has been added to the list of absentees, but Arteta should Mikel get some of his injured players back over the next few weeks. In the meantime, we have rounded up all the latest news and transfer rumours surrounding the Emirates Stadium.

Arteta is reportedly pushing Arsenal chiefs towards signing Barcelona winger Raphinha, who has been in strong form this season. Reports in Spain suggest the Gunners are ready to offer as much as £75million to land the Brazilian, with Barca having signed him for around £50million.
Any move would likely take place in the summer, when Arsenal are likely to chase a winger to add competition out wide. Though, whether they will spend that much is another question, and much of it could come down to whether they decide to chase a goalscoring striker.
Arsenal transfer meeting
Arsenal fans hoping for new signings in the January transfer window may end up being disappointed. According to The Sun, Mikel Arteta held a meeting with the club this week to discuss what the strategy should be in the January window.
The report claims the result of the meeting was a decision to not actively pursue any targets in January, with the club viewing it as a reactive window where the Gunners are only likely to move if they find themselves offloading a player they need to replace, and that is only likely to be a depth player. Arsenal have spent plenty of money over the last couple of years, so the news isn’t all that surprising, especially with the club feeling the pinch of Profit and Sustainability rules.
