A first-half Cole Palmer penalty and 48th-minute Mykhailo Mudryk made it look as if the Blues were cruising to victory with 15 minutes to go. Brentford 0 - 1 Arsenal - Kai Havertz 89 mins
Arsenal needed goal-line clearances from Declan Rice and Oleksandr Zinchenko to keep Brentford out at the Gtech Community Stadium and stole all three points thanks to substitute Kai Havertz's header at the death.
